December 1, 1940 — January 12, 2026

Bernard Kielar, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, January 12, 2026. He proudly served the City of Pittsburgh as a firefighter for 33 years. Outside of his career, Bernie enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending time with friends, fishing, tackling jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, always enjoying the challenge of figuring things out- an interest that extended with varying degrees of success to trying to master his iPhone. He deeply cherished family vacations where time together and making memories were what mattered most.
