Congratulations Chief!
Congrats Doug, enjoy retirement!
Congratulations Doug, it was always a pleasure to work with you. An aggressive Firefighter, knowledgeable Chief, and just a down to earth person. The job will miss you. The saying I always lived by on that job was "You don't have to respect the person, however you have to respect the rank". You were respected in both terms.
Congratulations Doug, welcome to the club.
November 1960. The Local 1 Authors of the Firefighter Newsletter at work. When was the last time anyone saw a Firefighter Newsletter?

I think it’s supposed to be quarterly?
This article is from the August 1960 edition of the 'Firefighter Newsletter.' It was written by John 'Jack' Conner. This event was long before CPR methods and equipment were created and standardized. Firefighter Norm Sanner did a nice job.

I saw Jack Conner earlier this week. He and his wife are both in their 90's. Mrs. Conner, Jane, is ill with an infection. Please pray for her.
Introduced in December 1950, the MSA Pneolator resuscitator had pressure settings for infant, child, and adult. It also had a oxygen powered aspirator to remove secretions from the patient’s airway. The Pneolator weighed 46 lbs.
