Age 71, of Pittsburgh, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Known as “Charlie” to his brother firefighters, he proudly served on the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire from 1975 to 2005 earning the rank of Captain. He served as an Instructor at the Training Academy for many years before retiring at Engine 29. In retirement, he continued instructing local fire departments through Allegheny County Fire Department and CCAC.
He loved being a firefighter, but his favorite times were spent with his kids, grandkids, and family at the beach, sporting events, Steeler Sunday parties, and working in his yard.
