He was born on April 17, 1935 to the late Terrance Patrick Griffin and Mary Josephine (O’Brien) Griffin.  He led a life of service as a veteran of the United States Army and as a Firefighter of 33 years for the City of Pittsburgh.  He was an active member of St. Bede’s Parish, the Pittsburgh Irish Center, the go-to chauffeur for countless activities, and Pop-Pop extraordinaire.
