WEIS FREDERICK ANTHONY “PETE” Of Reserve Township, formerly from Troy Hill, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2017. He was born March 28, 1928, in Pittsburgh. Fred retired from the Pittsburgh Fire Department at the rank of Lieutenant in 1981. At every House, he was known for his culinary skills. He loved his job and his fellow firefighter brothers. During the Korean conflict he served with the 175th M.P. Battalion, Co.C in Stuttgart, Germany. He faithfully attended annual reunions and maintained close friendships with his Army buddies. He was a member of Shaler VFW Post 9199, belonged to St. Anthony’s Lyceum, Kegler’s Bowling League, and was an Alumnus of North Catholic High School.
