George L. Coughenour

George Lee Coughenour passed away on September 2, 2026, at his residence in Weirton, WV. George was born on April 13, 1954, in Pittsburgh, PA.  George devoted 28 years of his life to the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire, where he served with distinction as a Master Firefighter on Engine 20. His courage and dedication to serving the community left an indelible mark on the lives he touched.  Beyond his professional accomplishments, George was a car enthusiast, proudly showing off his many many previous cars with his last being the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro at local car shows and was a proud member of the Pittsburgh Area Camaro Enthusiasts (PACE). He hopes there are great cars and a racetrack where he can continue his passion!
George served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War in Hawaii, embodying the spirit of duty and sacrifice.  George will be inurned at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. PA. Date to be determined where  Military honors will be performed by the United States Army and VFW Post 1810 Honor Guard.
