George Steven Mislanovich, age 78 of Brookline, passed away on Monday May 12, 2025. After having battled various health issues over the past several years, including beating cancer, he passed peacefully. George was originally from the South Side graduating from South High School in 1964. After graduation, he served his country in the United States Air Force for four years which included a tour in Vietnam. He would later serve his fellow “Yinzers” as a Pittsburgh City Firefighter proudly based out of the #26 Brookline Station. He also was a long-time member of the Dormont VFW. His backyard “pool oasis” was a cherished gathering spot. He was a decades long Steelers season ticket holder who relished the game days spent in the stands with his brothers. He enjoyed traveling, especially the many trips to Punta Cuna.
