Jerome “Jerry” Crowley, age 71 of Pittsburgh, passed away surrounded by his family on June 8, 2022.  Jerry served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971, at which time he did two tours of duty in Vietnam. He received a purple heart from a mission he was on as a medivac with his Dust Off unit when his helicopter was shot down while attempting a rescue.  Jerry worked his way up to Battalion Chief as a City of Pittsburgh firefighter.
