GIANCOLA JOHN T. On August 15, 2015.  He was a WWII veteran, served in Army Air Corps as a gunner stationed in Japan. He was a little league coach for the Bloomfield Athletic Association. He was on the 8th Ward Democratic Committee. He was the president of Bloomfield Citizen Council, created Bloomfield Halloween parade, president of AARP and a tax volunteer. He ushered and lectured for Immaculate Conception Church. He was a retired fire captain for the city of Pittsburgh. He received the Mary Cercone Award, Paul Scuillo Award, Mellon Bank Community Service Award, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal.
