Age 92, of Pine Twp., formerly of Lawrenceville and Bloomfield, passed on February 27, 2023.  Russ was an avid golfer who even hit 3 hole-in-ones. He was also a very talented woodworker and gardener. Russ worked for US Steel at the Edgar Thompson Works in Braddock for 13 years before entering the Army and fighting in the Korean War. He was awarded two bronze stars for valor. He was a Pittsburgh Firefighter for 26 years and retired with the rank of Captain. He enjoyed a long retirement with his family.
