Mauro Antonio “Cuz” Cetra, 70, died June 16, 2022 at St. Clair Hospital. He was born December 22, 1951, in San Pietro Avellana, Italy, the son of Antonio and Ida (Lepore) Cetra. Mauro graduated from Schenley High School, Class of 1970 and spent the remainder of his life in Pittsburgh. Mauro was a proud 25-year veteran of the United States Army Reserve and a Master Firefighter for the City of Pittsburgh who retired after 27 years of faithful service. He spent the entirety of his career at 13 Engine and Truck in Hazelwood and loved cooking for his brothers and sisters. Mauro was also a dedicated coordinator of the Pittsburgh Firefighters Memorial Honor Guard, a proud member and former steward for IAFF Local 1, a staunch political advocate for his fellow firefighters and veterans, and following his retirement, a volunteer for the American Red Cross.
